What a day at the Under 11s National Girls’ tournament regional event hosted by Nottingham Forest on the 28th February. It was agonisingly close as Mansfield narrowly miss out on the playoffs finishing in 5th place, despite only suffering 2 defeats and conceding just 2 goals in the competition. Big congratulations go out to both Leicester and Burton who will now go on in the competition, with Leicester winning the competition. We would like to thank West Park Academy who have represented Mansfield brilliantly in this tournament and to our hosts Nottingham Forest Community Trust who put on a great event. West Park PE and Sports Specialist Adam Bailey had nothing but praise for his team, saying they had a brilliant day out and the children loved it.
