Pupils at Lake View Primary School had the opportunity to meet Mansfield Town players Kieran Wallace and George Cooper as part of our Premier League Primary Stars project. They joined us for our two PE delivery sessions ran by coaches Mark Lynk and Mike Kasinowicz.
A small Q & A session took place, with the young participants quizzing the players on what it’s like to be a footballer. You could really see the excitement on the participants faces as they got to ask the questions, which kept the football players on their toes with their answers. They then took part in the session, encouraging participants to get involved interacting with them as they practiced their dribbling. It was fantastic to see players from the first time interact with the school pupils, and you could really see what it meant to them as the players got involved. Players being out in the community is a brilliant way to encourage young participants to get involved with their local clubs more often.
