The Vauxhall Pentagon Cup Qualifying Group 3

Vauxhall Pentagon Cup Qualifying Group 3

7 more schools entered our final qualifier as they aimed to progress to next week finals night.
The schools were Sutton Road Girls, Abbey, Jacksdale, defending champions King Edward, Greenwood, St Edmunds and Blidworth Oaks.

On a hot sunny Thursday afternoon the standard of football was very good from all schools but just like previous qualifiers it was only the top 2 teams that could progress.

It was a close fought encounter only to see defending champions King Edward book their selves a place in the final along with Jacksdale who beat St Edmunds to a final spot on goal difference. Greenwood needed a win in their final game to clinch 2nd place but could only manage a draw which was not enough.

A great effort from all schools, thanks for attending during National School Sport Week.
