Mansfield Town Football in the Community is saddened to confirm that plans for an August Holiday Club will, at this moment in time, NOT be going ahead. Furthermore, we can confirm that all other community activities remain cancelled.
Since the UK went into lockdown in March, Football in the Community have been working remotely – unable to operate from the One Call Stadium following the closure of the Stadium due to the Coronavirus Outbreak.
As the Stadium remains closed, Football in the Community must also continue to work remotely and therefore are unable to use the Stadium facilities to deliver Holiday Clubs and other activities, such as Walking Football and Active Minds at this time.
Mark Hemingray, Head of CCO said “Naturally we’re disappointed that we can’t run our Holiday clubs, however we must adhere to the guidelines set out by the FA, EFL and Government and place staff and participant safety at the forefront of our minds.
“Our Holiday Clubs during summer often attract 30+ participants per day and when it is safe to do so, we look forward to welcoming you back.
“In the interim we will continue to work remotely with our PL Kicks project offering virtual sessions, and PL Primary Stars project offering Home Activity Packs on a weekly basis.
“We will also continue to connect through social media providing challenges and games to be tried at home”
Finally, our planned trip to Tottenham Hotspur which was due to take place during the Easter Holidays is still to be rescheduled – ALL places will be valid for the new date, we will be in touch with parents as soon as we have been provided with further updates. Should anyone have any further questions RE the Spurs Trip, please contact community manager Gary Shaw, by emailing email@example.com
No further comment will be made at this time.
