BTEC Level Three Diploma / Extended Diploma In Sports Coaching & Development
How long is the course? Two Years full time study program
Where will you study? Mansfield Town Football in the Community, One Call Stadium, Mansfield
Age requirement: 16 to 19 (as of 31st August)
Entry Criteria: Four GCSE’s Grade 9-4, or BTEC Level Two in Sport
Example of units Included: Developing Coaching Skills, anatomy and physiology in sport, technical and tactical skills in sport, nutrition for sports performance, rules regulations and officiating in sport
Assessment Method: 100% Coursework via online portal (laptop provided where necessary)
Means tested bursary available for some learners.
What will you play? Eleven-A-Side Football, grass pitches
How often are matches? Weekly, home and away fixtures against other Football League Trust opponents (regionalised)
How often are training sessions? Daily, overseen by an experienced UEFA B licenced coach and supported by Football in the Community experienced coaches
Where will you train? Mansfield Town Football in the Community, One Call Stadium, Mansfield
Age requirement: 16 to 19 (as of 31st August)
Selection Criteria: Any ability or experience – this is not an elite footballing development programme Match day selection dictated by the Education Officer and Development Coach, dependant on academic targets.
Competition: CEFA League, Regionalised / National cup competitions where applicable
