All Girls Football Session to Launch as Football in the Community becomes a ‘Wildcats’ centre

Mansfield Town Football in the Community are delighted to announce the launch of a weekly girls only football session, having been registered as an official ‘Wildcats’ centre.

The nationally recognised ‘Wildcats’ project is an FA developed initiative, designed to inspire girls aged between 5-11 to be involved in football. Wildcats Girls’ Football Centres provide girls with regular opportunities to play football and take part in organised sessions in a fun and engaging environment.

Football in the Community will deliver the Wildcats program every Thursday at the One Call Stadium 5-6pm, with girls aged 5 to 11 of all footballing abilities welcome to attend.

Priced at £3 per child the sessions will be overseen, designed and delivered by Female Inclusion Officer Amy Page – with the first session taking place on Thursday 1st October

“I’m delighted we’ve been given the green light to launch a Wildcats centre – Female football is a huge passion of mine and I’m eager to get started and help get more girls into football from a young age.

“Our School Holiday ‘Girls United’ camps have proved really successful and one of the most common questions from parents and participants alike has been ‘when is the next session, can they be more regular’ – so with that in mind it’s a no brainer to launch these sessions.”

Places for each session much be pre-booked, using the following link and search for ‘Mansfield Town Football in the Community’ – We will also endeavour to post the individual session links on our social media each week.

Parents will also be required to complete a media consent form, which you can download by clicking HERE.
