What is the EFL Kids Cup ?
Each season The EFL organises a cup competition for junior footballers from schools across the country, with the finals being played in the build-up to some of the biggest matches of the domestic season.
The Kids Cup comprises of a six-a-side competition for u’11 school children and culminates in three finals across the EFL Play Off weekend in May.
The road to Wembley starts in September, when Mansfield Town Football in the Community organise local competitions for all local schools who wish to take part. The Kids Cup is for under 11 children and the winning school will win the right to represent us in the national stages of the tournament, and could progress all the way to the final for the prize of a lifetime – playing football at Wembley Stadium.
2015/16 Season – Samuel Barlow School represented Mansfield Town FC in the grand final on 30th May at Wembley after having been crowned Regional Champions back in March.
Croft Primary School represented Mansfield Town FC in the 2017/18 season. After winning the local stage they progressed to the Regional Finals which were held at Crewe.
