What is The John Radford Trophy ?
Each season, Mansfield Town Football in the Community organises a cup competition for junior footballers, from schools across the town and surrounding areas.
The John Radford Trophy comprises of a six a side competition for Yr5 school children, however Yr4 children can be included if the school wishes. A year limit of Yr5 is insisted on as we try to encourage schools to enter Yr6 children in the EFL u’11 Kids Cup.
The road to One Call Stadium starts in March, when Mansfield Town Football in the Community organise local competitions for all local schools who wish to take part. We hope this will become a prestigious event on the school games calendar.
This competition is aimed at providing competitive sports opportunities for children through primary school tournaments and fixtures as part of our Premier League Primary Stars programme.
