The John Radford Trophy Qualifying Group 2

The John Radford Trophy Qualifying Group 2

A very close fought encounter between the 6 schools that was in attendance.

Cuckney, Wainwright Academy and Blidworth Oaks competed well but it was St Philip Neri , King Edward and Sherwood what set the standard.

King Edward and St Philip Neri went into the last round of fixtures on 7 and 8 points respectively. With the two schools playing each other this was a crucial fixture. King Edward emerged victorious with a 2-0 win to put them in pole position on 10 points.

This meant that Sherwood needed a victory in their last game to overtake King Edward and they got just that with a 5-0 over Wainwright Academy. Sherwood have now progressed to the semi finals where they will join Peafield Lane.
