Season Summary Futsal 2015/16

Our season has come to an end for our Futsal league competition and it has been a very successful one. We entered three teams into the football league trust futsal competition leagues 1, 2, and 4 where we finished league champions of league 2 and 4 and finished runners up in league 1. All our players can be extremely proud of what they have achieved this season and the hard work they have put in which will now see all 3 of our teams competing in the NATIONAL FINALS later in the month.

Our league 1 side finished with a record of 10 wins, 1 draw and 4 losses scoring an incredible 88 goals and conceding 43 . Our players have had a fantastic season missing out on the league title to stoke city by just 2 points. We had 3 of our players finishing in the top 5 goalscorers with Liam Beardsley scoring 25 goals, Macauley Short with 19 goals and Josh Andrews with 14 goals, all 3 can be very proud of there records. Our league 1 side can now look forward to competing in the NATIONAL finals at the Birmingham international Futsal arena on June 15th.

Our league 2 side finished with a record of 12 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses scoring 83 goals and only conceding 37.  Our players can be very proud of there achievements winning the league by 7 points infront of our rivals Notts County. Two of our players have finished in the top 5 goalscorers with Liam Askew scoring 15 goals and Nathan Stray finishing 1 behind with 14 goals. Our league 2 NATIONAL finals will be played on the 21st June at the Birmingham International Futsal Arena.

League 4 was set out a little different as there was 10 teams entering with every team playing each other once before the league being split into two. Our side came out with a record of 6 wins, 1 draw and 6 losses scoring 48 goals and conceding 43. Our players became league champions beating Leicester City to the title by 1 point which was decided on the last day beating Nottingham Forest 5-0. Our players can now look forward to the NATIONAL finals at the Birmingham International Futsal Arena on June 23rd.
