Mansfield Town Football in the Community is a registered charity at Mansfield Town Football Club and I feel deeply fortunate to be the person leading it. Mansfield Town Football Club was formed in 1897 and known as Mansfield Wesleyans. In 1910 (after changing names in 1906) they finally settled on Mansfield Town. The football club was, and is, with the aid of F.I.T.C Charity, a tool by which values and relationships within the community are reached.
For 28 years, Football in the Community have maintained to extending our reach to larger groups of people. By using our key themes of Health, Education, Social Inclusion and Sports Participation, along with the power of football and Mansfield Town Football Club, we continue to strive to engage and improve the lives of the local community. We do, nevertheless, need to improve our publicity to supporters, funders and participants alike. In that respect, our website is one of the strategies that will enable us to promote Mansfield Town Football in the Community`s (Charity) profile.
In conclusion, in the past 25 years that I have been a part of Football in the Community, I have had the privilege to meet and work alongside some extremely hardworking and dedicated staff, and more recently, Board of Trustees, who have all contributed in some capacity to the continuity of F.I.T.C.
