The youngsters were also buoyed by the arrival of Mansfield Town young striker Jordan Graham who watched the action and took time to answer questions from participants – giving them advice on cherishing tournament football at a young age and learning from both good and bad experiences.
“Jordan [Graham] was really inspiring for the youngsters who listened to his every word and certainly took on board his advice.” Shaw added.
The three competing schools competed in one group playing each other twice in matches of ten minutes in length straight through, the top two teams progress to the final where, in the event of a tie on points, progress will be decided on goal difference followed by a penalty shootout.
