Samuel joined us in September 2016 in Year 12 having completed his GCSEs at The Brunts Academy. As a lifelong footballer and football fan Sam decided that this course would be great for him, allowing him to continue his studies to a good level with the Btec Level 3 in Sport and play Futsal with us and still allow him time to play for his 11 a side team and have time to keep his part time job. Throughout the 2 years that he has been with us Sam has been a hardworking student in the classroom and on the pitch. He will be leaving us with a Diploma in Sport at grade Merit Merit and has accepted place at Vision West Notts University Centre linked with Derby University on a Foundation Degree in Physical Education and Youth Sport – Level 5 with the intention to top up to degree level and go down the path of becoming a teacher.

On the pitch Sam is a dedicated player, rarely missed a training session and was always up for match day representing the National side. His preferred position is as striker. Unfortunately, Sam sustained an injury part way through his second year which limited his training and playing time, however he continued with a motivated attitude and completed his education to meet his target grade.

We would like to wish Sam all the best for his further studies and for his future career in teaching.
