Futsal Exit Profile – Mitchell Scotford

Mitch joined us in September 2016 after completing his GCSEs at Dukeries Academy. Mitch had always played football and played for his school team in 11 a side. With this in mind, when Mitch found out about our course he was immediately interested as knowing he could study and continue to play football and learn how to play Futsal at the same time was of huge interest to him.

Throughout his 2 years with us Mitch has demonstrated hard working attitude in education sessions. He is leaving us with a Diploma in Sport at grade Merit Pass. Whilst on his course Mitch also gained his FA Level 1 Award and his Futsal Level 1 and 2 Awards as throughout Year 13 Mitch demonstrated an interest in becoming a coach. Mitch applied and has been offered a full time Apprenticeship as Community Coach with us for the new Academic Year.

On the Futsal pitch Mitch played in the National side and usually played as a winger making runs up and down the pitch. He was a fully committed player and enjoyed playing for his club and team. Mitch rarely missed a training session which allowed him to develop his Futsal skills over the 2 years he spent with us.

We look forward to welcoming Mitch back to work with us in September as an Apprentice Community Coach.
