FREE Taster Session for Year 11/12s This Easter | Post 16 Education Pathway

Are you a current year 11 student wondering what to do in September, or have you spent a year at college / sixth form and decided it’s not the right fit? Mansfield Town Football in the Community invites you to the upcoming FREE taster session during the Easter break.

Taking place on Wednesday 14th April 2021 at the One Call Stadium – the taster session will give those currently in Year 11 or 12 the opportunity to find out more about our Post 16 Education Pathway, now recruiting for students to join us in September to study for a BTEC Level Three Diploma/ Extended Diploma in Sports Coaching and Development.

The taster session will offer an insight into what our current cohort of students do on a day to day basis, from an interactive classroom session providing a look at some of the units of study – to an hour long football training session, led by our experienced coaching team who prepare students for weekly competitive matches in the EFL CEFA league.

Ben Cocker, Post 16 Education Officer said “I’m delighted to offer potential students the opportunity to come and find out first-hand about what’s on offer for them here in September.

“For current year 11 students this is a really difficult time trying to decide their futures and quiet often, they’re overloaded with a lot of information – we’ll be keeping that to a minimum, instead offering something which gives them a real taste of what the course offers”

Mansfield Town Football in the Community are recruiting current Year 11 Students, male or female, to join the TWO YEAR course based at the One Call Stadium from September. Students will study towards a BTEC Level Three Diploma/ Extended Diploma in Sports Coaching and Development and require a minimum of FOUR GCSES grade 9-4 or a BTEC Level Two in Sport. Current Year 12 students are also eligible to apply, however will start as a year 12 student in September.
