Football in the Community Update – Movement to Tier Three

Mansfield Town Football in the Community would like to confirm that operations will still continue, once Mansfield moves into Tier Three at 0.01am on Friday (30th October).

Since lockdown ended and the Tier System was introduced, Football in the Community have continued to provide covid-safe activities through organised Sports Events – this will continue into Tier Three, with the exception of Active Minds Sport which has been cancelled.

The following activities will continue as normal with the following adaptions;

  • Over 45s Walking Football [Saturday’s 9-10am] – ALL participants MUST scan our NHS QR Code, checking into our venue using the ‘Test & Trace’ app.
  • Saturday Morning Kids Club [Saturday’s 10am-12noon]
  • Wildcats ALL GIRLS FOOTBALL [Thursday’s 5-6pm] ALL participants MUST pre-book
  • Premier League Kicks [Thursday’s 5-6pm / 6-7pm] ALL participants MUST pre-book

For ALL Activities, participants will be outside on the 3G Pitch in all weathers, whilst spectators, parents and guardians are NOT permitted to stay and watch.

Finally, the final day of our October Half Term holiday clubs on Friday WILL go ahead as planned. As we have done all throughout the course, we must stress that there is NO indoor provision available and that participants will remain outdoors in all weathers – it is the responsibility of the parent/ guardian to ensure their child has warm and appropriate clothing for prolonged outdoor play. Parents are welcome to collect their children if the weather becomes severe, however no refund will be issued.

Any customers wishing to contact Football in the Community, should call 01623 656 920 or email community@mansfieldtownfitc.net – please note, following the change to tier three, we will be operating on reduced staff based at the stadium, therefore response time may be longer than usual.
