Mansfield Town Football in the Community kicked off the New Year with a successful Football Fun day yesterday (3rd January) with over forty youngsters taking part in three hours of pure football fun.
FITC Coaches put on a variety of coaching games across the day, aimed to improve the skills and ability of the participating boys and girls, who concluded the popular day with a tournament – with teams separated by age.
Community Manager Gary Shaw said “We were really pleased with the outcome of yesterday – especially considering the late change of venue.
“Lots of the youngsters had clearly had new boots, kits etc for Christmas and were keen to put them into use – the only grumbles of disappointment came at 1pm when the fun day came to an end, they’d still be playing now if we’d let them! I love that enthusiasm”
Further courses for February half-term will be announced in the forthcoming weeks.
