Farmilo Pupils Kick-Off New School Year with Stags Visit

Pupils from Farmilo Primary School kicked off the brand new school year with a visit to Mansfield Town Football in the Community last week, enjoying a tour around the One Call Stadium – which included meeting Stags star Willem Tomlinson.

The Year Six pupils made the visit last Thursday (September 5th) as part of their ‘Writing for Pleasure’ project, which will also see a member of the Football in the Community team visit the pupils later this week to answer questions about the clubs’ history.

Shown around the Stadium by Premier League Primary Stars Coordinator Jordan Ferrer, the youngsters found out more about the Stadium’s history, learning about the differences between the dressing rooms, how they work on a match-day and how many supporters can be seated within the One Call Stadium.

As an added bonus on the tour, the pupils, whose base is next to the RH Academy, were treated to a surprise visit from Midfielder Willem Tomlinson, who kindly took the time to answer the pupils’ questions about life as a footballer!

Good luck to the pupils in completing the project.
