Competition Winners enjoy Checkatrade Victory

Ten youngsters who were victorious at the recent SSA Halloween Party enjoyed last night’s 3-2 victory over Scunthorpe United, thanks to competition sponsors Checkatrade.

The ten youngsters were chosen for the best fancy dress at the supporters club’s recent party at Jango’s Play Centre, by SSA Chairman Dean Foulkes and Community Manager Gary Shaw.

Each winner received a junior ticket and a ticket for an accompanying adult to watch last night’s match, in which the Stags won 3-2 to top Group H and progress to the next round, where they face a home tie with either Stoke City U21s, Manchester City U21s, Bury or Macclesfield, who were runners up in their respective groups.

Head of Community Mark Hemingray said “We would like to express our thanks to Checkatrade for providing us with the tickets to distribute, for many of the youngsters it will have been the first time they’ve been to a game with a parent or guardian, it’s the start of a journey”
